American military shot down drone of the Houthis over the Red Sea

On Sunday, May 26, the US military destroyed a drone of the Yemeni Houthis over the Red Sea. This was announced by the US Central Command on the X social network. According to the message, the American military successfully destroyed one unmanned aerial vehicle over the Red Sea that was launched from the territory. Yemen, controlled by Iran-backed Houthi rebels.

It was determined, the Command adds, that this drone posed an immediate threat to merchant vessels in the region. It was shot down to protect freedom of navigation and make international waters more secure for US, coalition and merchant ships.
