At the exhibition Air, Space & At the Cyber ​​​​Association in Washington, General Atomics presented a full-size model of a disposable unmanned fighter, the name of which is not yet known.

This fighter is being developed as part of the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) program of the US Air Force and is based on the XQ-67A1 prototype.

The main purpose of such aircraft — supplementing the Air Force with relatively cheap disposable robotic fighters that can perform multiple tasks while reducing risks for pilots.

The presented unmanned fighter, equipped with advanced technologies, is planned to be able to perform various tasks, including reconnaissance, attack, support and escort of manned combat aircraft without the participation of a pilot.

Experts in the field of military aviation and technology see great potential in this technology and believe that unmanned fighters from General Atomics will be able to change the concept of modern aviation.
