The leader of the radical Taliban group that controls power in Afghanistan, Khibatullah Akhundzada, approved new laws that protect women from speaking in public in public. The goal is aimed at “fighting vices and suppressing vices,” reports the Associated Press.

After seizing power in 2021, the Taliban created a ministry for “promoting honesty and suppressing vices” “y”. Recently, the department published new rules that regulate various aspects of everyday life, including public transport, music, shrines and holy days.

AP journalists found out that the 114-page document must be removed 35 articles and the first official declaration of laws " about the vices and honesty” in the country.

These laws give the authorities greater control over the behavior of Afghans and stop punishment, including arrests.

The document states that women are guilty of covering their bodies in large towns, and clothing is not guilty of being thin, tight, or short. Women are forbidden to speak in public, and also to be surprised at people who are not their relatives or people, and on the spot.
