The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine proved operational information as of September 22, 2023 regarding the Russian invasion.

the Russian occupiers continue to ignore international humanitarian law, shelling not only the positions of Ukrainian troops, but also the civilian infrastructure of populated areas, terrorizing civilians. Yes, yesterday the Russian Federation launched another massive missile attack on the energy, industrial and other civil infrastructure of Ukraine with 44 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 air-based cruise missiles and 6 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. Anti-aircraft defense destroyed 38 cruise missiles. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Residential buildings, educational and medical institutions, dormitories and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct defense in the east and south of Ukraine, the offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction, destroy the enemy, step by step liberate the temporarily occupied territories, secure themselves at the reached borders.

During the past day 26 combat clashes took place. The enemy launched 59 rocket and 62 air strikes, carried out 55 attacks from rocket salvo systems both on the positions of our troops and on civilian objects.

The Grem’yach of the Chernihiv region were hit by airstrikes; Digtyarne of the Sumy region; Ohirtseve, Berestov, Kopanky, Shyykivka of the Kharkiv region; Nevsky, Luhansk region; Dibrova, Andriyivka, Minkivka, Klishchiivka, Severnye, Arkhangelske, Elizavetivka, Vugledar, Zolota Niva, Urozhayne, Staromayorske of the Donetsk region; Biloghir’ia, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne of the Zaporizhia region; Lviv, Olhivka, Tyaginka of the Kherson region.

More than 120 settlements of the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

In the area of ​​responsibility of the OSU “ North” on the Volyn and Polissky directions the operational situation remains without significant changes.

On the Siversky and Slobozhansk directionsthe enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active diversionary activities in order to prevent the transfer of our troops to dangerous directions, increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of ​​responsibility of the “Khortytsia” OSUV in the direction of BakhmutDefense forces successfully repelled enemy attacks in the area northeast of Hryhorivka, Donetsk region. The enemy tried to restore the lost position in the Andriivka area of ​​the Donetsk region, but was unsuccessful. The defense forces continue their assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and entrenching themselves at the achieved boundaries. in the Mar’ directionthe enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of ​​Marinka and Krasnohorivka of the Donetsk region. Here, during the past day, the occupiers made 12 unsuccessful attempts to dislodge our units from their occupied positions. In the Shakhtarsky direction, the Defense Forces successfully repelled an enemy attack in the Mykilsky area of ​​the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhia region, enemy attacks in the Mala Tokmachka and Robotyn regions of the Zaporizhia region resulted in significant casualties for the invaders. strength, as well as in technique. At the same time, in the Avdiyiv and Shakhtarsk directions the defense forces continue to hold the defense on the occupied borders, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying troops.

The prisoners are promised early release from prisons in exchange for a contract with the Russian armed forces, the term of which will be valid until the end of the war.

During the past day, the Defense Forces aircraft struck a control point, an anti-aircraft missile complex, 12 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment and 2 – on enemy EW stations. Also, our defenders destroyed 1 enemy attack UAV of the “Shahed-136/131” type.

The control post, the area of ​​concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 9 artillery means and 2 EW stations of the enemy were hit by the units of the missile forces. .
