Canceled last year due to the pandemic, the Artis Evening will come back to life in 2021, TVA and Quebecor Content announce today.
The 36th edition of the gala will take place on Sunday May 9, where the public rewards their favorite artists from the small screen. Nothing is known, for the moment, about the host of the event, the finalists, the location of the ceremony and how to proceed in the current health context. This information is coming soon, we are promised.
In 2020, the Artis trophies were presented to the darlings of viewers as part of the show Sweety salty, hosted by Patrice Bélanger. Julie Le Breton and Claude Legault were crowned female and male personalities of the year.
All Quebec awards have been called upon to reinvent themselves due to COVID-19 in recent months. In addition to the Artis which had been canceled in the spring, the Gala Québec Cinéma was presented virtually a few weeks later, the Gala des 35es Prix Gémeaux and the Gala de l’ADISQ were entitled to celebrations without large audiences and adapted to social distancing this fall, and the Gala les Olivier was postponed to March 2021. The nominations will be announced on Monday 1er next february.
