French President Emmanuel Macron announced the official opening of the 2024 Paralympic Games at the Place de la Concorde in Paris. These are the first Paralympic Games to be held on the territory of France.

The celebration of sports for Paris does not stop: a little more than two weeks after the closing of the Olympic Games, the Paralympics started in the French capital.

< p>On Wednesday, August 28, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paralympics began in France with a performance by Canadian pianist Chilly Gonzalez and a performance by dancers similar to the “men in black”.

Later, Christine and the Queens in red costumes performed the most famous Edith Piaf's song “No, I don't regret anything”. After the aircraft painted the French national flag in the sky, the athletes' parade began.

Dear athletes, welcome to the land of love and revolution. Rest assured, today there will be no storming of the Bastille, no guillotine, because today the most beautiful revolution begins – the Paralympic revolution. This is a gentle revolution that will profoundly change each of us, said the head of the organizing committee of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.
