YouTuber Inoxtag has been making waves since his ascent of Everest. This weekend, he showed his documentary in more than 500 movie theaters, in which he prepares for and climbs the world's highest peak. Entitled Kaizen, it is also available for free on YouTube. Today, we learned that the 22-year-old will soon be on TF1.
Kaizen by Inoxtag, a controversial documentary
Indeed, the one who occupies a good part of the conversations on social networks is most certainly the YouTuber Inoxtag. And for good reason: a year ago, he set himself the challenge of climbing Mount Everest. A challenge that he took up despite criticism from some editing professionals. To do this, he prepared himself to achieve this feat and he thought about capturing every moment, from the beginning until his arrival on the highest peak on the planet. He made a documentary called Kaizen: 1 year to climb Everest.
This weekend, the content creator who is followed by more than 8.3 million subscribers screened his documentary Kaizen at the Grand Rex in Paris as well as in various movie theaters across France. And as he had promised his fans, he also shared it on YouTube and very quickly the two and a half hour film generated more than 17 million views on the platform. Kaizenis currently trending first in France and has accumulated more than 108,000 comments. Among them are positive comments and messages of congratulations but there are also criticisms.

Some believe that the young content creator's project further fuels overtourism, others point out the documentary's superficial morality or the numerous product placements without forgetting the fact that Inoxtag did not show enough of the Sherpas who contribute to the success of the climbs of this cult mountain.
Inoxtag moves from YouTube to TF1
Still, despite the fact that Kaizen divides Internet users, TF1 has still looked into on the Inoxtag documentary to obtain the rights. The channel has just announced that it has been authorized to broadcast it and this is how subscribers to the TF1+ streaming platform will be able to watch it from September 28. But it doesn't stop there since TF1 has also planned to broadcast it on Tuesday, October 8 from 11:30 p.m. just after the episode of Koh Lanta.
