TF1: Internet users surprised by this announcement from the channel on Christmas films

The cold weather in September has clearly surprised everyone, including the national television channels. But let's not forget, it's still only mid-October! A small detail that TF1 seems to have forgotten. While Halloween hasn't even passed yet, the group made an incongruous announcement about Christmas movies, which didn't fail to to make Internet users react.

TF1 in Christmas mode before time

In this middle of October, the atmosphere is chillingthan love stories set against a backdrop of snowy landscapes. Between terrifying dishes to scare your guests and scary costume ideas, it's the Halloween party that's on everyone's tongues, and not Christmas! While the end-of-year festivities are not yet in the news, an announcement as bizarre as it is irrelevant from TF1has surprised Internet users. Indeed, the French television channel has announced the arrival this Monday, October 14, of the first Christmas movies, from Monday to Friday, at 2:20 p.m. Two and a half months before New Year's Eve, it's (much too) early!

Obviously, this programming did not fail to make Internet users react: It's not even the end of November, what hell”, “Wait until Halloween is over”, “It's crazy to be in such a hurry”, “I'm making horror movies until the end of November, where are you talking to me about Christmas?”, “Please, no, it's still hot outside”… Talking about Christmas in October, a real heresy for an audience who expected more watch horror movies like The Shining or Ça as romcoms populated with little elves and ugly sweaters! Especially since it's earlier and earlier every year – in 2023, it was October 23.

And you, what do you think of TF1's decision to start Christmas movies so early this year?
