The Porsche Cayenne Coupé is not alone. The Audi Q8, the BMW X6 and the Mercedes GLE Coupé are there to follow him.
Price: from $ 82,550 Audi’s Q8 has some similarities with the Porsche Cayenne Coupé. Indeed, these two vehicles share the same technical architecture (code name: MLB Evo). We will choose the Audi for its more polished finish, its more rewarding presentation and its more intuitive and complete connectivity. On the other hand, we prefer the Porsche for its beefier braking, its more sporty road behavior. However, the two are on an equal footing when it comes to accessories. At the asking price, some devices should be on the list of standard features.
Price: from $ 80,900
PHOTO PROVIDED BY BMW BMW X6 The oldest of the group, the X6, does not flinch on its “old” bones. At the entry level, its six-cylinder engine is even smoother than the Cayenne V6. However, and like all the rivals gathered here, no hybrid engine is in the catalog for this model. Sportier than the Q8, and even the GLE Coupé, the X6 lacks the agility of the Cayenne Coupé. Only such a durable braking system. Its suspension is stiffer, however. On board, the controls are more confusing.
Mercedes GLE Coupe
Price: from $ 94,500
PHOTO PROVIDED BY MERCEDES-BENZ Mercedes GLE Coupe This Mercedes is the most expensive SUV coupe. A price difficult to justify in certain respects. Much like the Q8 – without its equal, however – the GLE Coupé offers a more polished interior than the Porsche. The seats, like the suspensions, are also more comfortable for anyone who wants to shoot several hundred kilometers without stopping. The road behavior is however not “very hop life” and that is a shame, since the engines offered are full of character.
