After the arrival of TVA + last November, it is Télé-Québec’s turn to launch its digital platform to view the content of the public channel online.
As of today, the public can watch the network’s broadcasts live or recorded on this network. online platform, also available on connected and smart televisions as well as on the Télé-Québec mobile application.
Everything, offered free of charge, is funded by the Quebec government’s Digital Cultural Plan.
Among the 5,000 or so French-language content offered on the platform are children’s programs, fiction series, public affairs programs and documentaries.
Télé-Québec assures us that this digital platform will allow it “to enrich its content offering” and “to offer the user an enhanced experience with more intuitive and fluid navigation”.
Users can also configure their personalized profile there. This allows you to create your own list of favorite content, receive notifications for the broadcasts of your choice and resume viewing from different devices.
“This new Télé-Québec platform is a concrete response to the gradual transfer of listening to digital platforms. Not only will it allow us to further accentuate the discoverability of our content […], but it will also maximize our digital footprint with citizens of all ages, ”Télé-Québec President and CEO Marie Collin said in a press release.
“More agile and rich in immense possibilities, this initiative, made possible by the support of the Government of Quebec, allows our public television to exercise its leadership dynamically as a broadcaster of French-language cultural content in Quebec and around the world,” says for her part, the Minister of Culture and Communications, Nathalie Roy.
