On the night of September 12, the MTV Video Music Awards 2024 ceremony thundered in Elmont (New York). The winners in all award categories were announced from the stage, and the stars arranged a real show.

American singer Taylor Swift became the artist of the year. All award winners can be viewed on the VMA website.

In the nomination “Video of the Year”the victory was given to Taylor Swift and Post Malone for their music video for the song “Fortnight”. In 4 months, the video collected more than 107 million views. This work also brought them victories in the nominations “Best Collaboration of the Year”, “Best Director” and “Best Song of the Summer”.

In total, Taylor Swift competed in 13 nominations and won 7 of them. She used her victory speech to encourage fans to vote for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the US presidential election.

Song of the Year, however, went to Sabrina Carpenter with “Espresso”, which gained considerable popularity this summer. And the award in the “Best New Artist” category went to Kaylee Rose Amstutz, better known as Chappell Rowan.
