Ukraine asked Switzerland for consular support for Ukrainians who are in Russia. This is possible with the consent of the Kremlin.

This was noted by Swiss President Ignazio Cassis in an interview La Liberte.

"Switzerland offered its courtesies to both Ukraine and Russia. Now Ukraine is asking us for support, in particular consular support, for its citizens in Russia. We are discussing with Russia, because it is necessary that three parties give their consent”, – said Cassis.

According to the head of Switzerland, his country provides similar assistance to the United States and Iran.

It is worth noting that the Swiss Consulate also represents the interests of Georgian citizens in Russia, since the Georgian authorities have severed diplomatic relations with the Kremlin.

BAGNET reminds Ukraine has severed diplomatic relations with rf February 24, on the day of the invasion of Russian troops into the territory of the Ukrainian state.
