Sweden will consider providing Ukraine with self-propelled artillery systems (ACS) Archer, as well as short-range anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) RBS 70 to repel Russian aggression. This said Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom Ann Linde .

The Swedish government is providing the seventh package of military assistance to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine with artillery shells worth 500 million SEK. This is not the last package. Maintenance Management (FMV) and The Armed Forces will appreciate the possibility of providing Archer artillery, RBS 70 MANPADS, etc. jpg” alt=”Sweden will consider providing Ukraine with Archer self-propelled guns” />

The Swedish 155-mm Archer self-propelled guns are manufactured by Bofors. The gun is based on the chassis of a Volvo A30D truck with a 6×6 wheel arrangement.

Rate of fire – 8-9 rounds per minute, full ammunition – 21 shells. The self-propelled artillery mount is brought into combat position in 30 seconds, the same amount is needed in order to prepare to leave the position.

Firing range – from 30 to 60 km depending on the ammunition.

BAGNET recalls that Ukraine already uses six different types of Western 155 mm artillery: PzH 2000 , M777  , FH70 , M109 , Krab and Caesar.
