Suspicion has been declared against the so-called journalist who headed the editorial offices of occupation newspapers in the Kherson region

Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, a former journalist from Kherson was notified of suspicion in absentia.

According to the investigation, the suspect agreed to cooperate with the enemy in 2022. The man headed the so-called united editorial office of the occupation newspaper «Naddnepryanskaya Pravda» and manages the publication of five more local publications controlled by the occupation authorities.

He registered an «editorial» in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, is engaged in the selection of personnel for the work of this occupation enterprise. In his position, he ensures the dissemination of materials that deny the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and justify the Russian occupation.

In addition, the suspect participated in the creation of a propaganda video in which he called on residents of the temporarily occupied left-bank Kherson region to participate in the illegal presidential elections of the Russian Federation.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine of the Kherson region.
