Strong exchange of words at Karol Nawrocki's conference. There was a clash with a journalist

Strong exchange of words at Karol Nawrocki's press conference.

As reported by the “Goniec” portal, Karol Nawrocki made a statement at the headquarters of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN). It concerned the issue of exhuming victims of the Volhynian massacre. One of the journalists asked a question that was met with a sharp reaction from the PiS candidate in the presidential elections.

Karol Nawrocki clashes with journalists

The meeting at the IPN headquarters was related to Ukraine's declaration of consent to exhumations in Volhynia. Karol Nawrocki made a statement and then answered journalists' questions, although he stipulated that he would only answer questions regarding the Volhynia massacre.

One of the journalists, however, decided to go beyond the topic and ask a question about next year's presidential elections, in which Nawrocki decided to run. Maciej Knapik decided to ask whether the head of the IPN will take a leave of absence for the duration of the campaign.

“Mr. President, why don't you want to answer our questions? Neither this morning in front of the Sejm, nor here. Do you not know what you are supposed to answer, or what is it?” – asked the journalist from TVN.

The atmosphere at the conference at the IPN became exceptionally thick

Karol Nawrocki firmly asked Knapik if he had a question about the Volhynia crime. The journalist denied it, emphasizing that he had a question about running. A representative of the IPN who was present in the room joined the discussion, emphasizing that the meeting was about the Volhynia crime and nothing more.

Another journalist joined the discussion, who also asked a question about the IPN chief's leave. Before Nawrocki could answer, the voice of a TV Republika journalist could be heard in the room. “What kind of question are you asking?! This is a lack of respect for the victims of the Volhynia crime,” he said.

Ultimately, Nawrocki answered the question about the leave. He said he had announced that he was planning a vacation “but I don't intend to spend it with the editor.” Nawrocki also assured that he is an independent candidate who enjoys the support of many patriotic circles.
