While some horror fans are waiting to discover Conjuring 4, which is scheduled for release in September 2025, there is a series to watch for all those who love horror. A series that, unfortunately, will not be renewed after four seasons. An announcement that was not to the taste of Stephen King, who has just launched a fight to demand that the show continue.

Stephen King: The Master of Horror Calls for This Series to Continue

Despite Positive Reviews, This Horror Series Is Not Being Renewed

Indeed, there's no point in waiting until next year for the release of the fourth installment in the Conjuring franchiseto scare yourself! If you are a fan of horror movies and series, there is what you need on the streaming platform Paramount+. However, after four seasons, the service announced last February that this horror series will not be renewed. While the last episode was released on August 22, fans of Evil are disappointed.

This horror series by the couple Robert and Michell King will therefore not have the right to another season. And this, to the great displeasure of the master of horror: Stephen King.

Stephen King #1 Evil Fan

The Maine-born writer said that the Evil series was brilliant, funny and also “it's witty and it's very, very clever.”A compliment to which actress Katja Herbers, who plays Kristen Bouchard, responded by thanking King. Since then, she has been asking for the series to have a fifth season. Indeed, just like her two acting partners, Mike Colter and Aasif Mandvi, she does not want Evil to end.

The American author also responded to the call from the show's lead actress by saying that the series was “intelligent, stimulating, sometimes very scary“. And added:

In addition, the chemistry is strong between the three hunters fighting against Evil. It's really enjoyable (to quote Kamala Harris) …

And that's not all because when King loves something, he doesn't hesitate to share it with his followers and even to the point of doing activism on X. Indeed, the writer has called on Paramount+ to request a sequel to the series.

Dear Paramount+: More EVIL, please.

“Dear Paramount+: More EVIL, please.”

It remains to be seen whether Stephen King's message will be heard by the platform. Perhaps if the writer offers to write an episode, Paramount+ will decide to extend the series. Fans can hope to see the sequel to Evil somewhere other than this service. Indeed, its co-creator, Robert King has explained that he is ready to sell his series to other platforms. This is also the reason why the first two seasons are available on Netflix.
