Hairdressers are allowed to open, restaurants are not – even though the corona numbers are relatively low right now. Steffen Henssler’s nerves are on edge, and he gave free rein to his frustration on Facebook.
Many people are currently extremely tense – also because economic livelihoods are at stake. The pandemic is taking away the serenity of many of us to indulge. Even prominent and comparatively well-off people are affected by the current situation: TV chef Steffen Henssler, for example, has exploded on Facebook. He shared an angry, sarcastic post with his fans. But it didn’t go down well with everyone.
The reason for Henssler’s displeasure was apparently the decision to open hairdressers again, but not restaurants.
The 48-year-old now runs five restaurants in Hamburg, Munich and Travemünde.
The y will have to remain closed. He wrote in his post: “
The re are currently 159,300 active corona cases in Germany. That is 0.19% of the total population. That means, according to official figures, 99.81% have nothing. And thank you, because the trend is still falling , I can go back to the hairdresser in just under three weeks !! Dude, how cool is that! ”

Anyone who juggles with such seemingly low numbers quickly runs the risk of being put into the corner of lateral thinkers. Because the effect of the previous measures is being forgotten here. Anyone who is familiar with the important reproduction value knows how quickly these numbers would explode again without a lockdown. Just remember how in 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic, cabaret artist Dieter Nuhr put himself in a mess with a similar statement:

But of course, despite Henssler’s questionable message, many can understand the feeling of powerlessness and existential fear.
The post quickly garnered around 28,000 likes and was shared more than 11,000 times. Criticism also accumulates in the approximately 4,000 comments. “Well, Master Henssler, Corona is just not a quick number,” writes one user. “
The other 99.81% do not have ‘nothing’ – some have cancer, a heart attack, stroke and and and and. But they should not look into tubes because the around 27,000 intensive care beds – for around 0.03% of the population – are with them Corona patients are occupied! ”
A woman comments: “I’m actually a big fan of yours, but this remark annoys me. Sure, these are difficult times, but there is nothing to trivialize. I had this disease and I know what I’m talking about. Wish you that you stay healthy. ” And one man writes: “A friend of ours is currently fighting for his life, full corona program. He would certainly prefer to sit at the hairdresser’s or in the restaurant! If someone from the Henssler clan meets, a Steffen thinks differently.” He’s probably right about that – but of course you don’t want anyone to have this experience.
