TV channel STB presented a promotional video for the new season of the reality show “The Bachelor”, the leitmotif of which was the poem “Love is worth everything” by the Ukrainian writer and military man Serhiy Zhadan.

The video was published on the official page of the project in social networks.

In the video, the main character of the 13th season, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Oleksandr “Teren” Budko rushes to his most important meeting. He races through the city on a motorcycle, crosses bridges and kilometers to meet the one to whom he is ready to give all the roses in the world.

The promo features a poem by Serhiy Zhadan, which is very close to the history of “Teren” itself. The organizers of “Bachelor” were not sure whether they would get permission from Serhii Zhadan to use his poem. But he agreed.

Worthy of loathing and torment,

Frenzy and mercy.

Serhiy Zhadan's poem is something that penetrates to the bones. This is very close to the history of Teren itself. It is generally about all of us and that love, for the sake of which you are ready to go through all the trials again and again, if only it happened to you. From the first day of working on the season, we knew that Zhadan had one poem that was perfect for us. And the lines from this poetry became the slogan of our season – “Love is worth everything”, – said Lidia Pankiv, marketing director of STB TV channel.

We will remind you that after the announcement of the new season of the project, the STB TV channel received more than 500 applications from girls who wanted to compete for Oleksandr's heart in the first day. “Teren” himself admitted that there are no standards of beauty for him and he is not looking for a certain type of girl. At the same time, the soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is convinced that his future chosen one has something to touch him, and her energy will simply attract him.

Before the full-scale war, Oleksandr Budko worked as a barista in Kyiv. In May 2022, during the fighting in the Kharkiv region, he was seriously wounded and lost both legs. After treatment in Ukraine, “Teren” went to the USA for prosthetics and rehabilitation.
