The start of Israel Skin Cancer Awareness Week was announced on Sunday by the senior management of La Roche Posay dermo-cosmetics brand led by Ilan Naftali, division general manager, Nancy Yirchi, product manager Medical Relations, and Dr. Lehavit Akerman — scientific consultant for the La Roche Posay brand, along with members of the Israel Skin Cancer Association — led by Inbal Cohen-Tuwal and dermatologists from Ichilov Hospital, Dr. Ayelet Rishpon, Director of the Early Skin Cancer Clinic, Dr. Mor Moidovnik, Dr. Bar Yonathan and Dr. Izman Gila.
included, among other things, free skin and mole testing for everyone, conducted by Ichilov doctors in collaboration with the Israel Skin Cancer Association and sponsored by the La Roche-Posay brand. Testing will take place next month on 5 leading beaches in Israel.
The event was opened by Ilan Naftali, Director of Dermocosmetics at L’Oreal Israel: “As part of the social program of the La Roche-Posay brand, we are very proud of our cooperation with the Israel Skin Cancer Association and our connection with Ichilov Hospital. Through important steps such as these, we will be able to raise awareness in Israel about skin cancer and educate the general public on the importance of early detection of skin diseases and the daily use of sunscreen.”
Naftali also explained that the same activity will take place on other beaches across the country: on the Dado beach in Haifa, on the Arches beach in Ashdod, on the beach in Herzliya and Kiryat Haim.
