SpaceX successfully conducted the third test launch of the Starship spacecraft. This is stated on the company's X(Twitter) page.

The Starship S24 (second stage) on a Super Heavy launch vehicle (first stage) launched at 15:10 Kyiv time from the Starbase cosmodrome in Boka -Chica, Texas.

SpaceX has set ambitious goals to successfully launch two stages, separate the stages, and controllably propel the Super Heavy, as well as test the Starship's in-flight refueling and restarting of the Raptor engine. The ship should land in the Indian Ocean at the end of the flight.

The launch went without any problems. The first stage, having reached the planned height, separated and began the descent process, but in the end crashed on the surface of the water. The Starship continued its flight and on its way to the Indian Ocean was able to refuel, shut down the engine, and then restarted it. At the end of the flight, the Starship reached the ocean and descended, passing through the atmosphere at hypersonic speeds, which is 5 times the speed of sound. Contact with the Starship was lost before the crash. The ship apparently fell into the ocean.

The entire test flight lasted about 50 minutes. The third test run of the entire Starship system turned out to be very successful.
