South Korea will put More than 800 K2 tanks to Poland

Seoul will supply Warsaw with more than 800 South Korean K2 tanks, the corresponding agreement was concluded on Tuesday, the Polish Armaments Agency reported.

“On July 9 this year, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ, Polish State Defense Concern – IF-U) and Hyundai Rotem Company have signed a new consortium agreement, which will become the basis for an order for the supply of K2PL tanks to the Armed Forces of Poland,” the message reads.

It noted that “the parties have signed a new consortium agreement to adapt to the changing conditions of the future order and to meet the expectations set for PGZ SA and Hyundai Rotem Company by the governments of both countries”.

PGZ commented to the Armaments Agency, that the agreement “also paves the way for the signing of further agreements, specifically aimed at the transfer of technologies, the start of production, as well as the maintenance of supplied products.” of armaments and the Hyundai Rotem company signed a framework agreement, which provides for the supply of 820 K2 tanks in the K2PL configuration, of which 500 K2PL tanks will be manufactured in Poland.”
