Sony cannot sell the Playstation 5 Pro in India due to the country's lack of Wi-Fi 7

Sony still can't start selling the Playstation 5 Pro in India and a number of other countries. It's all about the Wi-Fi 7 protocol, which is still not certified in India.

This was announced by the Indian division of Sony. According to them, the console will not be officially sold until the new 802.11be Wi-Fi standard is approved in India.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

The PS5 Pro will not be available in some countries (including India) where wireless range 6 The GHz used by IEEE 802.11be (Wi-Fi 7) has not yet been approved.

However, journalists note that the outdated Wi-Fi standard did not prevent Apple from launching the iPhone 16, and Intel is quietly selling laptops with Lunar Lake processors. All these devices use Wi-Fi 7, but they may have been allowed to be distributed in India because they still support Wi-Fi 6 in addition to the new protocol.
