Apple fans have been eagerly awaiting an iPad Mini update for a long time, as the last model, the iPad Mini 6, was released back in 2021. According to experts, the new iPad Mini 7 can be presented as early as September 2024 after the traditional Apple conference. Some details about the future model have already appeared in unofficial sources.

iPad Mini 6 has proven itself as a stylish and comfortable device that fits well in the hand and is suitable for use as a compact digital notebook. Do not expect radical changes in the design of the iPad Mini 7. If Apple does not increase the volume of the battery, the weight of the device will probably remain the same.

As for the display, the iPad Mini 7 is expected to feature an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2266×1488 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. One of the main changes will be to solve the scrolling problem that bothered users of the iPad Mini 6. The new display controller should provide a faster and smoother response. However, those who were hoping for an OLED display will probably have to wait a few more years – the release of the OLED version of the iPad Mini is predicted no earlier than 2026.

The iPad Mini 7 is expected to receive a RAM upgrade from 4 GB to 8 GB, which will significantly improve its performance. In addition, the base model is likely to have at least 128 GB of internal memory, which meets the growing requirements for content storage. The most intriguing upgrade will be the processor. While the iPad Mini 6 uses the A15 chip, the iPad Mini 7 is expected to feature a more powerful A17 with support for artificial intelligence functions.

As for the price, the iPad Mini 6 costs $499 and , it is likely that the new model will keep the same price category, despite numerous improvements.
