Smartphones iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have been tested for strength in tough tests

Smartphones iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max tested for durability in tough tests

Techno blogger Zach Nelson, known as JerryRigEverything, tested the iPhone 16 smartphone for durability Pro Max, which just went on sale this week.

Among other things, the device received a more protected Ceramic Shield glass, which should affect its reliability.

The tester started by checking the new camera control button, which, considering everything, is made of sapphire glass. The first minor damage appeared on the fifth level on the Mohs scale, and scratches only on the eighth. The display turned out to be weaker. Although Apple has improved it, it still scratches at level six.

It was not difficult to leave scratches on the titanium side faces with the help of a clerical knife, but the back matte cover surprised with its imperceptibility. The main cameras also pleased with their reliability.

In the test with a lighter, the smartphone proved to be perfect — the screen did not react in any way to the flames raised to it. But fire definitely damages the coating, so the blogger does not advise repeating this experiment at home.

It was also not possible to bend the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Moreover, there were no cracks, scratches, or dents, as in the case of last year's model. As a result, Nelson was satisfied with the strength of the novelty and gave it the highest score.

Blogger Sam Kohl from the AppleTrack YouTube channel tested the durability of the iPhone 16 Pro. He threw the smartphone in different directions, constantly increasing the height. The first injuries appeared during a fall from the height of raised hands — cracked all over the display. It is interesting that the iPhone 15 Pro, which “flew” together with a twin for clarity, remained unharmed. Perhaps this is due to its thicker screen edges compared to the new model.

As a result of subsequent numerous falls, the iPhone 16 Pro even chipped off a piece of the back cover. iPhone 15 Pro happened only with a broken display.
