Smart features and new Siri: what Apple is preparing in the iOS 18.4 operating system

Apple is preparing a major update to its iOS 18.4 operating system, which will significantly expand the capabilities of artificial intelligence in the iPhone. The most interesting new feature will be an improved Siri, which will be able to understand what you see on the screen.

For example, if someone sends you an address in a message, you will only need to say: “Add this address to contacts”, and Siri will do it automatically. The assistant will also be able to perform complex tasks using different applications at the same time.

Artificial intelligence will learn to better understand your needs and quickly find the necessary information in messages, letters or notes. Smart sorting of notifications will appear – important messages will automatically be displayed first.

The image creation application Image Playground will receive a new “Sketch” style, and users from the European Union will finally have access to all artificial intelligence features on iPhone and iPad. Apple also plans to add support for new languages, including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and more.

The iOS 18.4 update will be released in April and will complete the implementation of all the artificial intelligence features that Apple showed off last year. The next batch of new features should be expected in iOS 19.
