(Aspen) Canadian skier Megan Oldham took bronze in slopestyle on Saturday at the prestigious X Games in Aspen.
Oldham of Parry Sound, Ont., Also collected his second medal in as many days in this competition. The 19-year-old had won the silver medal the day before in the high jump event.
It was also his third career X Games medal, after winning gold in the big jump last year in Oslo, Norway.
China’s Eileen Gu triumphed, ahead of American Isabel Atkin and Oldham on Saturday.
On the other hand, Quebec snowboarder Laurie Blouin will also be competing in the big jump on Saturday. Blouin, of Stoneham-et-Tewksbury, had won the bronze medal the day before in slopestyle.
She will be chasing a fourth career X Games medal, after also securing gold in the big jump in 2019 and silver in slopestyle last year.
On the men’s side, Quebec snowboarder Sébastien Toutant will make his debut a little later in slopestyle.
The Aspen X Games will continue until Sunday.
