Skoda will introduce a new generation of Kodiaq and Superb models in 2023. This reported in the release of the company dedicated to the annual results of sales.
“Some promising events will follow this year: the new generation of Kodiaq and Superb, as well as restyling of Kamiq and Scala. Meanwhile, work on our electronic future is in full swing. Already in 2026, we will release three new all-electric models, and more will follow",— Martin Jan, Skoda Board Member for Sales and Marketing, is quoted in the document.
The current generation Skoda Kodiaq crossover sold 94.5 thousand copies in 2022, its sales decreased by 4.2% compared to 2021. Superb liftbacks and station wagons were sold in the amount of 60.8 thousand cars (-8%).
The current generation of Skoda Kodiaq has been produced since 2016. The crossover is built on the MQB-A2 modular platform of the Volkswagen concern, and the Volkswagen Tiguan and Audi Q3 are also based on it. Superb has been produced by a Czech company since 2001. The current, third generation of the model entered the market in 2015.
