"Spring and early summer will be decisive in the war. If the major Russian offensive planned for this time fails, it will be the collapse of Russia and Putin,” Skibitsky argues.
Responding to the question of whether the war could end in 2023, the deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate replied, that they cannot look far yet, because they must pass this first stage – spring and early summer.
According to Skibitsky, the change in the Russian military leadership, the completion of the first stage of mobilization and regrouping of the Russian army indicate that the main activity of the Russians will unfold in the Donetsk and Luhansk directions.
