The Russian consulate in the Polish city of Poznan is being closed. This was announced on platform X by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.

He explained the need to close the Russian consulate general in Poznan as a response to the hybrid war waged by the Russian Federation, which is attempting to sabotage Polish territory.

— As Minister of Foreign Affairs, my duty is to — react decisively. The first step is to close the Russian consulate in Poznan. We will not retreat one step. We are defending the Republic of Poland, we are defending the Poles, the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry noted.

There are three Russian consulates general in Poland — in addition to Poznan, they are located in Krakow and Gdansk.

BAGNET recalls that Sikorski had previously hinted at closing the Russian consulate, announcing a solution to counter the Kremlin's sabotage on Polish territory.
