The Orchester symphonique de Québec has put on line, until January 26, a concert in which the musicians perform the Symphony No. 1 by Sibelius.
This free concert, available on the OSQ’s Facebook page and on its YouTube channel, was recorded Wednesday at the Grand Théâtre de Québec.
Under the direction of Canadian conductor Tania Miller, the Orchester symphonique de Québec will also attack Fanfare for the Common Man (Aaron Copland) and Zigeunerweisen (Pablo de Sarasate) in addition to the program.
Guest violinist Mark Fewer will accompany the OSQ during this free concert presented for five days in webcast.
The Orchester symphonique de Québec will offer a second concert, on January 27, at 8 p.m., live, with soprano Karina Gauvin, to mark the 265e Mozart’s birthday.
