On Tuesday, September 17, former Russian Defense Minister and current Secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shoigu arrived in Iran on an unannounced visit.

This was reported by the Russian state agencies TASS and RIA Novosti, as well as the Iranian agency IRNA.

Shoigu arrived on the instructions of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to implement the agreements reached during the visit of the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Akbar to St. Petersburg.

As part of During the visit, Shoigu already met with Akbar and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, conveying a message from Putin to them.
