Sherlock Holmes 2: Gilles Lellouche reveals an improbable story with Robert Downey Jr.

Gilles Lellouche

Hot Ones series hosted by Kyan Khojandioperates on the basis of a concept as simple as it is crazy, directly imported from the United States, where the biggest stars parade, such as Chris Hemsworth, SZA and Ryan Reynolds. The objective? To interview personalities who make the news while they try to finish chicken wings coated in hot sauce. Celebrities lose all inhibition as the intensity of the chili increases, going so far as to make totally unexpected revelations… This is the case of Gilles Lellouche, guest this Friday, October 11, and who told a crazy anecdote that happened on the set of Sherlock Holmes 2!

I had a big scene, three pages of text that I had learned by heart… I was really nervous. “It's talking at 400 miles an hour, I don't understand anything” [he realizes at that moment that the scene was being rewritten]. I start to act, I feel that it's taking hold, end of the scene, everyone applauds. Robert Downey Jr. tells me “What you just played, Gilles, is extraordinary” […] Six months go by, and my agent tells me: “There's a problem with Sherlock Holmes, they're going to have to reshoot your scene because they don't think it's good“. I ask “When?“, and he answers me No, they're going to reshoot it without you… They took another actor in the end“.

A bitter disappointment for the actor, who was supposed to appear in A Game of Shadows alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, before his scene was cut to editing… Although Gilles Lellouche did not specify what role he is playing, we assume that it is that of the French anarchist Claude Ravache, played by Thierry Neuvic. As for his new project, L'Amour Ouf, it will be available in theaters starting this Wednesday!
