The French Sailing Federation (FFvoile) opened a new disciplinary procedure on Wednesday for “inappropriate behaviour” towards women targeting skipper Kévin Escoffier, who has already target of a judicial inquiry for events that occurred in May with a young woman in the United States during a stopover in a race.
“The cell of the Fedé The federation in charge of the fight against sexual violence has received reports concerning other inappropriate behavior by Kévin Escoffier towards women,” the Federation wrote in a text transmitted to; l’AFP, specifying that this procedure was in addition to the one opened in June, focusing on “the incidents that occurred during the leg of The Ocean Race from Newport”.
These new testimonies, on which the Fé ;d&;eration did not wish to make comments to; this stage, have led « Jean-Luc Denéchau, President of the French Sailing Federation » to open a new disciplinary procedure.
