Sean Bean often played the role of villains, so the “reckoning” scenes had to be played. Fans have even collected and posted on YouTube a selection of his Death Reel stage deaths.
The actor says he saw the video and even named his favorite scene.
“I used to read scripts from the end to see if I was still in them. I'd say, “No, I'll take it to 34 pages… Boromir's death [in “Lord of the Rings”, Ed. ] was probably the best death I've ever played. It was just heroic and tragic. I got a reputation for being dead on screen, but I'd rather be alive now if you don't mind”, – noted Bean.

Another stage death, like the role itself – Eddard Stark – has become a key for a career as an actor.
“When I first met the writers of Game of Thrones, they told me, 'You're going to die, but you're in it for most of the season.' But he was a great character and it was a good death so I didn't mind”, – recalls the actor.
Sean Bean says it's thanks to his roles in “Game of Thrones” and “Lord of the Rings” he is most often recognized on the streets.
As the editors of ProShoKino reported, the first reviews about the “House of the Dragon” – the prequel to “Game of Thrones” appeared on the Web.
