Sea turtles rescued in Israel released into the wild

More than a dozen endangered sea turtles have been released onto a beach in Israel after suffering serious injuries. According to the AP, on Friday, after several months of medical treatment, they ran along the beach. 15 cephalopods and two green turtles were saved and cured. They were undergoing rehabilitation at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center north of Tel Aviv after suffering various injuries. These species are listed as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. According to ecologist Yaniv Levy, the experts first made sure that the turtles were already 100% healthy, and only after that it was decided to release the reptiles into the wild. Scientists have glued tags to the shells of several individuals so that they can track the location of turtles and continue to study their behavior in the wild.
