Scientists managed to find out that in the case when a person falls asleep after midnight, he runs the risk of greatly harming his body. American researchers even conducted an experiment in which 635 patients with diabetes were involved, of whom a quarter (25%) were accustomed to falling asleep before 11 pm, and about a quarter (23%), on average, went to bed after 00 hours and 30 minutes. As a result, it was found that night owls have the lowest physical activity, and the tendency to lead a healthy lifestyle in this case was noticeably lower. Meanwhile, experts emphasize, it is extremely important for patients with diabetes to follow a certain exercise regimen and lead a relatively healthy lifestyle.
“The link between late falling asleep and physical activity was clear. A person who goes to bed late is much less active the next day, ”the study authors note. At the same time, scientists add that it is possible to reduce the risks of developing a whole complex of diseases by changing the usual sleep pattern. At the moment, numerous studies allow specialists to argue that it is precisely early bedtime that is most beneficial for human health. It is equally important to have a good night's rest.
