The workouts proposed by scientists promote the production of myokines in the body of citizens suffering from oncology. They are produced through the muscles during their contraction. Hormone-like neurotransmitters have anti-inflammatory properties, proving the positive effect of sports on the state of the body as a whole. It is known to the scientific world that myokines are able to affect the growth of cancer cells in healthy people, as well as those faced with oncology in the early stages.
However, in the course of new work, German specialists have shown that a special training program, which is gentle and effective at the same time, triggers the production of the mentioned neurotransmitters even in the later stages. The approach is based on electromyostimulation of the whole body. In future work, the researchers hope to identify myokines with anticancer effects, which will allow them to propose a new therapy for cancer.
