The experiment involved 357 patients suffering from asthma. They were divided into two groups. The volunteers of the first received traditional therapy, and the participants in the second also underwent acupuncture sessions. The study lasted for 3 months, during which time the volunteers underwent 15 acupuncture procedures. At the same time, the scientists observed a group of more than 1,000 patients who were treated exclusively with acupuncture. The well-being of patients using this procedure has improved. Moreover, they have changed not only physical, but also mental indicators.
The positive effect of acupuncture was observed after the experiment for 6 months. As the authors of the study note, this technique is widespread in China. Previously, the therapeutic effect of the procedure was confirmed for back pain and migraine.
