Scientists representing the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) suggest that by the end of the 21st century, about 550 animal species may become extinct on Earth. However, humanity still has a chance to save them, since it is responsible for the disappearance of animals.

Scientists, using a computer model, investigated the rate of extinction of various animal species and studied information about fossils and early extinctions that occurred on the planet. This made it possible to predict the future.
As it turned out, after some time, the Earth will lose about 550 species of animals representing the natural history of the planet. Animals will be lost forever. Species extinction has nothing to do with global warming, according to scientists. Most animals can still be saved.
