Scientific books about St. Sophia and Volodymyr the Great are presented in Kyiv

In Kyiv, in the reserve “Sophia of Kyiv” ; On June 29, they will present books about the thousand-year-old St. Sophia Cathedral and the prince of Kyivan Rus' times, Volodymyr the Great.

“Books about the thousand-year-old St. Sophia Cathedral and Volodymyr the Great will be presented in Sofia Kyivska. On June 29, at 4:00 p.m., there will be a presentation of two scientific books by Nadia Nikitenko “Sofia of Kyiv of Volodymyr the Great” and “ St. Sophia of Kyiv 1011 – 1018”, the message reads.

These monographs are the result of a long-term study of Sophia of Kyiv, which the researcher continues to this day. At the heart of both studies – a grand integrated complex of the architecture, mosaics, frescoes and graffiti inscriptions of Sofia of Kyiv.

In the Moscow State University, it was noted that the knowledge about St. Sophia's Cathedral is supplemented by numerous new data obtained by the author in the cathedral itself, and some of them are a real sensation.
