The epidemiological situation in Moscow is becoming more serious. In this regard, the authorities decided to temporarily suspend the validity of social cards for schoolchildren and pensioners. Both categories of citizens will not be able to use it from October 9. Discount travel for students will be restored from the 18th. On this day, the 2-week vacation will end. Elderly people aged 65 and over, as well as citizens with chronic diseases, will not be able to travel in public transport at reduced rates until October 28. As representatives of the city administration note, after the restoration of the validity of social cards, the funds available on them will be saved, and the missed days will not be taken into account.
Other measures are being introduced in the Russian capital aimed at further restricting people and preventing the spread of a viral disease. In Moscow, museums, concert halls and theater venues that are subordinate to the city government will stop distributing tickets at the box office. Citizens will be able to buy them only online. In addition, Moscow enterprises are required to transfer 30% of employees to remote work, and then report on this. If information about this is not provided or turns out to be incomplete, a fine is provided, as well as the suspension of the facility's activities.
