Scholz stated about the threat to European democracy from Musk

Technology billionaire Elon Musk's friendship with the far-right “endangers” democracy in Europe.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said this on Friday, according to Politico.

“He supports the far-right everywhere in Europe – in the UK, Germany, many other countries – and this is something that is absolutely unacceptable,” – Scholz said at a press conference in Berlin.

“This endangers the democratic development of Europe, it endangers our community, and it must be criticized,” – added the German leader.

Scholz said he was not against Musk exercising his freedom of speech, but: “His shift to the far right, whether for business interests or for reasons related to his own political position, is unacceptable.”

The Chancellor's comments are the latest in an ongoing feud with Musk, who in turn called Scholz a “fool” and said he would “lose” the federal elections in Germany.

Recall that in recent weeks Elon Musk has been actively commenting on the political situation in European countries and has directly called for the resignation of the heads of government of Great Britain and Germany.

According to media reports, Elon Musk has also held private discussions with allies about removing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer from his post before the next election.

At the same time, most residents of Great Britain and Germany consider Elon Musk's attempts to influence their national politics unacceptable.
