Scholz promised Ukraine IRIS-T, missiles and ammunition

In the coming months, Germany will transfer air defense systems, missiles and ammunition to Ukraine for the protection of critical infrastructure.

This was announced by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz under during the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Berlin.

We will deliver to Ukraine the third Patriot air defense system, IRIS-T, Gepard installations, missiles and ammunition. All this will go to Ukraine in the coming months and weeks.

He said Germany is sending more air defense systems, missiles and ammunition to bolster Kyiv's defenses against a barrage of Russian attacks on cities and critical infrastructure.

The best kind of reconstruction is one that doesn't happen at all. must happen.

In his opening remarks Tuesday, Scholz emphasized the importance of private capital in the recovery effort, saying “it also has to be economically sound.”

Those who participate at an early stage, who develop and expand their economic relations with Ukraine now, will be at the forefront. On behalf of German industry, I can say that they do.

He told delegates, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

A few months after the start of the war with Russia, we jointly made a firm promise to Ukraine: the future of Ukraine is in the EU.

A representative of the German Foreign Ministry said that a series of declarations of intent and agreements to support recovery will be signed during the Berlin conference.

The German government and the European Commission will sign an agreement on increasing the funding of the “Center for Integrated Response for Ukraine” to 75 million euros.

As part of this initiative, the purchase of Ukrainian equipment for the demining of cities and villages, as well as the protection of nuclear power plants and the support of energy supply after attacks on power plants, was paid for.< /p>
