Scholz and Musk have a dispute over a scandalous gesture: it escalated into a verbal spat

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz criticized American billionaire, head of the US Department of Government Efficiency Elon Musk, for supporting the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.

As reported by WELT, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the German politician accused Musk of interfering in his country's domestic politics. He was also asked to comment on the billionaire's strange gesture after Donald Trump's inauguration:

“I want to repeat: we have freedom of speech and everyone has the right to say what they want, even a billionaire. But we do not support right-wing extremist positions”.

The SpaceX founder has already responded to Scholz's statement on his microblog X, spoiling the politician's first and last name. “Shame on Oaf (from English – idiot) Schitz!” – he wrote.

Scandals around Musk

Recall that earlier the billionaire stated that Germany could be “saved” only the far-right party “Alternative for Germany”.

Also, the network has been discussing his gesture during a speech in Washington since yesterday – he put his right hand to his chest and sharply threw it up. Musk himself called the accusations of Nazism “dirty tricks”.
