SBU detained an enemy agent who was preparing a missile attack on electrical substations in the western regions
An FSB agent who collected information about the location of critical infrastructure facilities and features of their work in the territory of the western regions was detained by the Security Service of Ukraine in Ternopil region.
< p>According to the press service of the SBU, he was primarily interested in the locations and technical characteristics of local electrical substations. The man planned to transfer the received information to the enemy for preparation and carrying out a series of targeted missile attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities.
But the SBU officers interfered with these plans and detained the attacker at an attempt to transfer intelligence from his smartphone to the invaders. The traitor turned out to be a resident of the Kremenets district, whom the Russian special service recruited after the start of a full-scale invasion.
The man came to the attention of the aggressor because of his pro-Kremlin views, which he repeatedly made public through social networks. To perform enemy missions, he traveled around the area, established the location of Ukrainian energy facilities and fixed their coordinates.
As a communication with FSB used a specially created Telegram channel. During the search, a phone with evidence of reconnaissance and subversive activities in for the benefit of the aggressor country was confiscated from the attacker.
