SBU counterintelligence prevented a series of large-scale acts of sabotage against Ukrzaliznytsia

A Russian saboteur, who arrived from the Middle East to prepare explosions at Ukrzaliznytsia, was exposed during a special operation in Chernivtsi.

The detainee was on undercover communication with "curators" from the  terrorist "DPR", according to the Security Service of Ukraine.

The man has a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and even a Kyiv registration, but he has been  "conservation" in one of the Middle Eastern countries.

After the start of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, the agent was returned to Ukraine to collect intelligence about the channels for the supply of weapons and military equipment, the location of tanks with fuel and deployment of our troops in Bukovina.

Based on these data, the enemy planned to carry out acts of sabotage, including explosions at railway facilities and logistics warehouses.

At present, the agent has been informed of suspicion and a measure of restraint has been chosen– detention.

Pre-trial investigation continues.
