The SBU declared suspicions against two Russian generals

It is reported that Chaiko was directly involved in the planning, preparation and invasion of the invaders into the territory of the northern regions of Ukraine at the beginning of a full-scale Russian invasion. In particular, he led the occupation group “East” and led the actions of subordinate units in an attempt to capture Kyiv. To ensure his own security during the counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian general set up his headquarters in a captured kindergarten in the village of Zdvizhovka, Buchansky district. At the same time, at one of the local stadiums, a rashist was presenting awards to his subordinates for committing war crimes in the Kiev region.

Based on the evidence collected, a high-ranking Russian military is accused of:

  • h. 3 art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine),
  • Part 2 Art. 437 (planning, preparation, initiation and conduct of aggressive war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In addition, the SBU collected unconditional evidence of war crimes committed by Major General Eseddula Abachev. He was the commander of the 2nd army corps of the “LPR people's militia”, which is subordinate to the 12th command of the reserve of the southern military district of the aggressor country. Thus, the attacker led the actions of the invaders in the eastern direction, in particular, his presence and direct participation in the hostilities of Ukrainians in the areas of Severodonetsk, Lysichansk, Kremennaya, Rubizhne and other settlements of the Luhansk region was recorded. For these crimes, Russia awarded Abachev with the title of “hero of Russia” and “hero of the LPR”.

Investigators of the Security Service informed the attacker about the suspicion under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • ch. 3 art. 110 (commission of intentional actions with the aim of changing the borders of the territory of Ukraine in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine, which led to the death of people and other grave consequences);
  • ch. 2 tbsp. 28, part 2 of Art. 437 (planning, preparation, initiation and conduct of an aggressive war by prior agreement by a group of persons).

Pre-trial investigations were carried out by employees of the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service, investigators of the SBU of Donetsk and Luhansk regions under the procedural leadership of the Office of the General Prosecutor and the Luhansk Regional Prosecutor's Office.
