Saves from respiratory arrest: the new AppleWatch has added an innovative function

Apple announced a new update to watchOS 11, which introduces an important function for health monitoring — detection of sleep apnea. This feature is now available for Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Series 9, and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models in more than 150 countries and regions.

Sleep Apnea — is a serious condition in which breathing temporarily stops during sleep. The new feature uses the Apple Watch's accelerometer to monitor small wrist movements that could indicate breathing problems. If such disturbances are recorded frequently over several nights, it may signal the presence of sleep apnea.

Users can view information about nighttime breathing disorders in the Health app on iPhone, where the results are divided into categories of "increased" and "normal".
