London – Gabriela Satková was the only Czech canoeist to advance to the finals of the world championship in water slalom. At the championship in London, she finished the worst in tenth place, thus ensuring the Czech Republic a quota for the Olympic Games in Paris in this category. In the semifinals, Satková took fifth place with a loss of 2.35 seconds to the fastest Monica Vilarrubla from Andorra.

Satková was the only one of the Czech representatives in the semi-finals to handle the course cleanly and already knew after her ride that she would advance. It is the third consecutive time in the final of the world championship. Last year she finished seventh, from 2021 she has bronze.
On the other hand, the medalist from 2017 and 2018, Tereza Fišerová, did not advance to the finals of the World Championships in canoeing for the third time in a row. At Lee Valley, she paid for eight penalty seconds for four goal touches and took 17th place. She was almost six seconds away from the lead. Tereza Kneblová completely messed up the semi-final race, finishing with a big loss in 30th place.
Václav Chaloupka and Lukáš Rohan are fighting for advancement in the canoeists' semi-final.
