The candidate for president of Moldova from the Party of Socialists, Alexandru Stoianoglo, admitted defeat in the second round. He made the statement two days after the election results were announced, NewsMaker reports.
“The results showed that we lost, although here in Moldova we won. Most of you trusted me, and I am infinitely grateful to each of you,” Stoianoglo said.

Recall that in the second round of the presidential elections in Moldova, Maia Sandu won, receiving 55.33% of the votes, while 44.67% of voters voted for her rival, the candidate from the Party of Socialists, Alexandru Stoianoglo.
